2016 Transgender Day of Remembrance

TDoR – Trans Day of Remembrance
We hope you will join us again on November 20th to honor those we have lost and build momentum to end the violence against trans and GNC (Gender Non-Conforming) communities.
As you may know 2016 has been reported as the deadliest year for the trans community. Despite increased visibility, trans people continue to be murdered in unprecedented numbers, specifically trans women of color.
TDOR is brought to you by a volunteer planning team and community partners including:
TAJA’s Coalition
TRANS: THRIVE
Trans Employment Program
SF LGBT Center
El/La Para Trans Latinas
and more!
Together we can put an end to the violence against trans people!
TDoR is a genuine tribute to those who have lost their lives to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice. This day serves to raise awareness of the abuse and violence faced by the trans community, as well as our families, friends, and cis allies.
The event is accesible, ASL and Spanish Translation will be provided. If you have questions please contuct us at info@TDoRSF.org .
The event is free, but we have expenses. If you’d like to help, please donate. If money is not abundant, but you still want to help, please volunteer.
Thank you.
